Individual Counseling
There are many reasons that bring individuals into counseling. It could be due to stress at work or in their relationships. Sometimes it is grief, the loss of a loved one, or a traumatic experience. For others it is worries or low self-esteem.
Beliefs are often the underlying cause of many disturbances. Feelings of not good enough, pretty enough, young enough, smart enough, (you fill in the ______ enough) effect how you behave and interact in the world. What we believe is determined from past experiences, parents, caregivers, teachers and our culture. Identifying beliefs that limit and sabotage you is the first step towards well-being. Beliefs about yourself can be easily and quickly upgraded to what you want to believe. Neuroscience has demonstrated that the brain can create new neurological pathways. The psychological modalities I have studied and trained in support the positive changes you are wanting to make.
It is inspiring for me to witness the profound shifts that occur when clients transform limiting beliefs into loving and supportive ones. Attitudes, relationships, self-worth and performance are all enhanced.
